Jordan Social Security Corporation Receives ISSA Excellence Certificate Under Shatnawi Team Leadership

Jordan's Social Security Corporation received the Certificate of Excellence from the International Social Security Association (ISSA) in 2019 for the successful application of occupational risk prevention guidelines, under the supervision and leadership of Engineer Firas Shatnawi, who was then serving as Director of Work Injuries and Occupational Safety Department.

This achievement resulted from the development and implementation of advanced occupational safety and health management systems, the establishment of the OSH Excellence Award program that recognized over 50 Jordanian establishments, and the development of the merit rating system linking employer safety performance to insurance rates.

Shatnawi led the National OSH Strategy team in Jordan (2019-2020) and oversaw EU-funded projects worth 1.8 million euros to develop occupational safety and health systems.

Shatnawi currently continues through his company "Shatnawi Safety Consultation" to provide specialized consulting services to institutions in Jordan and the Gulf Arab states, leveraging his extensive experience in dealing with regulatory authorities and international standards.
